Analyzing and Tracking your Running Data

The Garmin Forerunner series of watches are loaded with features that enable you to track and analyze your fitness data. With the Garmin Forerunner wristwatch alone you would already be able to instantaneously know the results of your fitness activities.

The Garmin Training Center is compatible with the Garmin Forerunner 205, Forerunner 305, Forerunner 405, and other Garmin Running devices. Its main purpose is for runners to be able to review and analyze their activity history by accessing your Running watch, as well as to create customized workouts and send them to your Garmin Fitness device.

The biggest help that the Garmin Training center can give you is when it comes to analyzing your training. After using your Garmin Forerunner 305 in your training, you could then connect the training watch to your computer to be able to analyze just how well you were doing in your workouts.

The Review History option in the Garmin Training Center would help you see and analyze your data from your Garmin Fitness device through detailed graphs, maps, and statistics. This makes it easier for you to chart your progress, and help in making you visualize the peaks and valleys of your training.

Using the software’s built in Workout Creator; the Garmin Training Center can work with your Garmin Forerunner 405 to create customized workouts. You would be able to make a detailed training plan complete with specific workout goals and rest intervals.

You would then be able to store all of these personalized workouts and store workouts for future use. You can even schedule a customize workout for a specific day using Training Center’s built-in calendar. This makes it great for people who do alternate training programs.

Share Workouts Online

The Garmin Training Center has connections with the Garmin Connect website. The Garmin Connect website would enable you to upload or download course from other Garmin Forerunner users all over the world.

By being able to do this, one can easily share his best times, routes, or laps, with other users as well as find people who would be able to give them tips on how they should do a specific training regimen.

This is also useful for a group of friends or neighbors who train together and may want to synchronize their Garmin Forerunner watches with each other. They could just simply download a specific workout that one of them has uploaded in the website to their device.

The good thing about the Garmin Forerunner watches and the Garmin Training Center is that making them connect with each other is highly intuitive and very easy to do. The Garmin Forerunner 405 for example, would even automatically connect to the computer as long as the ANT stick is there.

This fact, makes is very simple for runners to use the computer in conjunction with their running watches for analyzing their training.

Remember that while the Garmin Forerunner 205,  305 or 405,  are already very capable training devices on their own, having access to the computer, and being able to utilize the Garmin Training Center would definitely be a boost to anyone who takes their training seriously.
